ABOUT THE COOPERATIVE The H.A.C. is a NON PROFIT specially programmed booking engine that will take enquiries direct from the s Search Engines and send them into your email inbox. It is a concept that was developed by Ray Sperring in 2000. A prototype was used with www.aussietourism.net and www.goldcoastregion.com. This system was called the O.C.S or "owner control system. When there was only 7,00 listed under 'gold coast holiday accommodation' this site was in the top ten on all search engines, and is still in the top ten with over 4 million now in this same category. A meeting was convened by Ray Sperring with 20 owners of Accommodation venues to form a steering committee to form a "Tourism co-operative".( Click To see more about Ray) On the 7th December 2004 the concept was presented to the Department Tourism and Wine Industry Development and on the 15th February 2005 the Department finally approved the set of "Rules & Regulations" with registration number QC 0275 and the inaugural executive directors elected with the first incorporated meeting on 15th March 2005 The initial committee was: Ray Sperring - Justine and Terry Sanders, The Shore - Rob and Pat Baker,Dorchester - Helen and Fred Boddington,Beachside Towers - James Mutch,The Moorings - Ross Pallister,President Apartments - David Brownlie,Viscount Towers, - Glynis Tason, Gold Coast Holiday Bookings - Peter Melville, Diamond Sands Resort - Rodney Emms It Programming. It was decided that a NON PROFIT organisation with a cap on expenses be formed to provide a similar high profile website to goldcoastregion to the Tourism Industry on a National level. A website was registered after the Department Fair Trading approved the name "Holiday Accommodation Cooperative Ltd" Jim Haworth from Jamiesons Chartered Accountants organised the Article Association, Rules and Regulations. The initial Rates were to be set at $10 to $20 as flat rate fee, however, after investigations on costs and banking transfers it was amended to a percentage from 2.75% to a maximum of 4% - The Joining fees was set at $50 with a minimum purchase of 200 $1 shares for "A" class City members and 100 $1 shares for "B" class Country Members and $50 with 100 shares for "C" class to cover "Any other tourism trading activity". However, any trader may purchase more shares up to a limit of 40,000. - some traders have purchased more shares. NO COMMISSION IS CHARGED ON "C" MEMBERS, only a 10 cent referral. The
Primary activities of the Cooperative is to conduct an internet marketing
and promotional service for members who own or operate Tourism Attracting,
Accommodation and Travel business on a National level to increase the
flow of sales through the internet. A full copy of this disclosure statement

WHY JOIN THE TOURISM COOPERATIVE 1.. The HAC will provide a steady flow of bookings and sales through the Internet. Your exact position will be pin-pointed on a interactive directory map with a link to your feature webpage. (click here to see examples for Gold Coast Traders) 2.. You will receive a fully illustrated web page. and be linked to the holiday sites all over Australia. (see example of feature pages) And you will get an ID number and pass word to access the data base and make your own personal changes to your information and pictures etc. You are in control of the website publishing, we will give you all the training you need. As you can see by the example, the trader has changed their own rates and text to suit themselves. 3.. You will get a Merchant Banking gateway for payments made direct to you and proceeding straight into your bank account, the system will issue a receipt and provide you with comprehensive tracking on all transactions. 4.. All rates and commissions to HAC are computerised, Accounted, and debits made before the final amount is remitted to your account. 5.. For Category "C" Members which cover "Any other Tourism Trade" such as "Tours" Transport" "Theme Parks" "Hire vehicles" "Parks" etc - HAC acts as second level search engine diverting clients to their own website for a small cost of .10 cents, NO COMMISSION - so it certainly pays for these traders to join up. 6.. The commission costs to the trader are minimal, providing a higher yield. Commission rates are from 2.75% to 4% only inluding GST and Bank transfers rates.. 7.. The Programmed booking engine is working for you whilst you are away from your office, or at evening times, all you need to do is to login your available units before retiring. WHEN a potential booker targets a venue that is fully booked in your area, this enquiry rolls over into the "Sand-Box" for any other member to access the details and send off their quote and take the booking. This provides the public with better service and helps fill up your beds in the down times. 8.. Your local Tourist Association can join and act as the HAC agent in your region receiving 75% of the total revenue. These funds will help generate more tourism promotion for your environs and traders. 9.. All surplus funds and profits are directed back to members on a per annum basis as rebates and dividends. As most of the system is computerised, only three persons are needed to maintain and operate the HAC head office. Only one person is needed at the regional Agency level to do any book-keeping, the system does the lot. 10..
No other Travel Agency, Wholesaler or Agent in the Tourism Industry
can give you such a comprehensive internet service, and at such a low
cost, and at the same time provide your local Tourism Association or
Shire Council with funds out of the system to use in the promotion of
your local region, and taking your message onto a National and International
stage.
